Secret Minds Think Alike

Hello. My name is Isabella Anne Wallace. Please call me Izzy. I am very tall and lean, and I have straight black hair. I am in 6th grade, and I wish it could stay that way. My story begins with a dog. But before I tell that story, I must tell you this one.
My family is very small, and close. Lindsey May, my curly blonde, beautiful mom is always busy with her new disigners buisness she opened last year. I guess that is why there is no resemblance between us.
My brother, Ben, is also blonde, and he is very messy, and attached to video games. It can sometimes be so annoying. He is in the 10th grade, and is a lot taller than me.
Every year my family and I go to the pet shop to search for a new member of the family. We barely ever buy, but it is nice to look anyway. We never get anything but dogs, since we are dog people. This year is different though. Nobody is coming to the pet shop except my mom and I. It is our only time together. The only downside is that once we buy, BEN names it, NOT ME!!!After an hour of looking, no dogs were found. We gave up hope and headed home.
On the way out, we saw a strange hallway that we didnt see before. There was only one dog. It was honey colored, and soft. Not to jumpy, yet not to calm. I still didnt know if I wanted it yet, so I stared it straight in the eye, careful not to get bitten. What happened next was all to fast. the dog jumped, and unlocked the cage, tackeling me down to the floor, the security guards came, but before they took her away, my mom motioned a signal for them to stop, for she was no quitter. She looked it in the eyes. Her jaw dropped as she took the dog to the counter, and bought it right away. Why? I dont know.
In the car, I asked her why we bought the dog. She waited a minute, took a deep breath and stopped the car, which was already in the driveway.
"The dog..." she said, casually, "Was crying"
And that was that.
We walked in the house and told the family. Then we realized that the dog was gone. The room smelled of panic, as they split their ways in the house. There was a crash, and a scream, and we followed the noise.
On the living room floor was the dog. Scattered across the floor in front of her were blocks. We all had our mouths dropped as if their was an amazing discovery. The blocks spelled "THANK YOU."
